Belki<br \/>\n\u2019korkun\u00e7 canavarlara binip ate\u015f sa\u00e7an demir \u00e7ubuklarla \u00f6l\u00fcm yayan beyaz adam\u2018\u0131n<br \/>\nyapt\u0131klar\u0131na benziyor ama hi\u00e7bir zaman bu kadar sistemli bir \u2018az\u0131nl\u0131k olma\u2019<br \/>\nya\u015fayan ba\u015fka bir halk olmam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r, hem de kendi ana yurtlar\u0131nda. Elbette,<br \/>\nRumlardan s\u00f6z ediyoruz. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Tarihin g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc en uzun s\u00fcreli \u2018az\u0131nl\u0131k\u2019l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile kutsanm\u0131\u015f<br \/>\nya da \u2018lanetlenmi\u015f\u2019 halk\u0131ndan s\u00f6z ediyoruz. Hal bu minvaller \u00fczerine olunca Rumlar hem en<br \/>\nkolay hem en zor olan yaz\u0131 konusudur. Biz hem sadece bilimsel verilerin<br \/>\nso\u011fuklu\u011fundan da ka\u00e7aca\u011f\u0131z hem de romantik anlat\u0131mlar\u0131n \u00e7ok\u00e7a tarafl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan<br \/>\nda. Taraf\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 pe\u015finen belli edelim, d\u00fcnya hepimize yetecek kadar c\u00f6mert,<br \/>\ninsanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n binlerce y\u0131ll\u0131k tarihi herkese yer verecek kadar b\u00fcy\u00fck ve toplum<br \/>\nasl\u0131nda hepimizi kapsayan, her birimizi ayr\u0131 birer \u00e7ocu\u011fu ile kendi varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n<br \/>\npar\u00e7as\u0131 olarak g\u00f6recek kadar farkl\u0131l\u0131klarla olanakl\u0131.. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \">San\u0131r\u0131z taraf\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n B\u00fcy\u00fck \u0130nsanl\u0131k\u2019tan yana oldu\u011fu, onu<br \/>\nk\u00fc\u00e7\u00fcltmeye, tek bir kal\u0131ba koymaya kar\u015f\u0131 oldu\u011fu anla\u015f\u0131l\u0131yor. Taraf olu\u015fumuzun<br \/>\ngere\u011fini t\u00fcm y\u00f6nleri ile yerine getirmeye, eksik kald\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z yanlar\u0131<br \/>\ntamamlamaya, ihmal etmi\u015f olabileceklerimize hak ettikleri ihtimam\u0131 vermeye<br \/>\n\u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yoruz. Bu \u00e7er\u00e7evede Rumlar\u0131, rebetiko\u2019lar\u0131 gibi hem her \u015feye ra\u011fmen<br \/>\nhayata ba\u011fl\u0131, co\u015fkulu, hem h\u00fcz\u00fcnl\u00fc tarihleri i\u00e7inde anlatmaya-anlamaya<br \/>\n\u00e7al\u0131\u015faca\u011f\u0131z. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \"><strong>Rum Kelimesi <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Rum kelimesi, \u2018romal\u0131\u2019 anlam\u0131na gelen \u2018romeos\u2019tan t\u00fcreyen<br \/>\nbir isim. \u0130smin t\u00fcredi\u011fi tarih, Do\u011fu Roma (Romania)\u2019n\u0131n H\u0131ristiyanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 kabul<br \/>\netmesi ve Yunanca dilinin Ortodoks H\u0131ristiyanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n yan\u0131nda ortak \u00f6zellik olarak<br \/>\ntan\u0131nma-yerle\u015fme zaman\u0131na denk gelir. MS 4. yy\u2019lardan itibaren Anadolu\u2019yu ve<br \/>\nMezopotamya\u2019y\u0131 da etkiler duruma geldi.<span>\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span>Her ne kadar devletin resmi dili Latince olsa da halk i\u00e7inde Romeika<br \/>\netkin bir kimlik \u00f6\u011fesi olarak \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131kmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. Ta ki 10. Y\u00fczy\u0131lda resmiyet<br \/>\nkazand\u0131. Hala T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ya\u015fayan Rumlar dilleri i\u00e7in -Rumlara \u00f6zg\u00fc anlam\u0131nda-<br \/>\nRomeika derler(Yunanlar ve dilbilimciler taraf\u0131ndan pontiaka denmesine ra\u011fmen).\n<\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Rumlar \u0130stanbul ve \u00e7evresinde ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilinen en eski<br \/>\ntopluluktur. M\u00d6 7. Yy\u2019da Megaral\u0131lar\u2019\u0131n bo\u011faz\u0131 ve \u00e7evresini, bilinen s\u00fcreklilik<br \/>\ni\u00e7inde, ilk yerle\u015fime a\u00e7an Yunan (Atina yak\u0131n\u0131ndaki) kent devletlerinden oldu\u011fu<br \/>\nbiliniyor. O tarihten itibaren Bo\u011fazlar\u0131n Karadeniz, Anadolu ve Yunan kent<br \/>\ndevletlerini ba\u011flayan stratejik yap\u0131s\u0131, ilk ad\u0131yla Bizantion\u2019u \u00f6nemli<br \/>\nk\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Yerle\u015fimin geli\u015fmesi ve Roma\u2019n\u0131n da Bizantion\u2019u \u00f6nemsemeleri orada<br \/>\nyerle\u015fik olanlar\u0131n ya\u015fam\u0131na \u00f6nemli etkide bulundu. Roma\u2019n\u0131n bat\u0131 kanad\u0131nda<br \/>\nya\u015fanan kar\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131kla, Do\u011fu Roma art\u0131k Bizans ismiyle ve yurtta\u015flar\u0131 art\u0131k Rum<br \/>\nad\u0131yla an\u0131ld\u0131. Do\u011fu toplumlar\u0131, Roma yurtta\u015flar\u0131 ile birlikte Anadolu\u2019nun<br \/>\nbat\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 da Rum Diyar\u0131 ya da Rumeli diye adland\u0131rmaya ba\u015flad\u0131lar. Bazen \u00e7\u0131kan,<br \/>\nRum ismindeki kar\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131n kayna\u011f\u0131 da bu adland\u0131rmad\u0131r. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Rumlar\u0131n Do\u011fu Roma (Bizans)s\u00fcreci boyunca ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131 temel<br \/>\nsorunlar  i\u00e7erideki mezhep ayr\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 ve d\u0131\u015far\u0131da geli\u015fen, son derece yay\u0131lmac\u0131<br \/>\nbir cihat-fetih politikas\u0131 izleyen \u0130slami yay\u0131l\u0131md\u0131r. T\u00fcrklerin Anadolu\u2019ya<br \/>\nyerle\u015fmesi ile d\u0131\u015f tehdit, ha\u00e7l\u0131 seferleri ile de mezhep \u00e7at\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 Rumlar\u0131 11-14.<br \/>\nyy.\u2019lar aras\u0131nda zorlay\u0131c\u0131 olmu\u015ftur. Her iki sorunun, miad\u0131n\u0131 dolduran Bizans<br \/>\nimparatorlu\u011funun siyasi-ekonomik sorunlar\u0131yla birle\u015fmesi, Constaninapolis\u2019in<br \/>\nOsmanl\u0131 devleti taraf\u0131ndan fethine yol a\u00e7t\u0131. Sonras\u0131nda \u2018gayr-\u0131 m\u00fcslim az\u0131nl\u0131k\u2019<br \/>\nolarak ge\u00e7irilecek 500 y\u00fczy\u0131ldan uzun bir s\u00fcre\u00e7 ba\u015flad\u0131. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Gayr-\u0131 m\u00fcslim az\u0131nl\u0131k olarak ge\u00e7irilen s\u00fcrece ili\u015fkin<br \/>\n\u00f6ncelikle \u015fu konuda net olmak laz\u0131m: Osmanl\u0131 \u2018milletler sistemi\u2019 denen sistemin<br \/>\npratikte iki formu vard\u0131r: birincisi, ta\u015fralar i\u00e7in uygulanan form, ikincisi, merkez<br \/>\ni\u00e7in uygulanan form. Ta\u015fra i\u00e7in uygulanan merkezi politika \u2018milletler sistemi\u2019<br \/>\ndiye \u00f6v\u00fclen yanlar\u0131 i\u00e7ermektedir yani devlete biat etme ko\u015fulunu yerine getiren<br \/>\nherkese geleneksel ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrme hakk\u0131 tan\u0131nm\u0131\u015f ve b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00e7o\u011funlukla<br \/>\nuygulam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r, hatta kimi \u2018k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck tats\u0131zl\u0131klar\u0131\u2019 ba\u011f\u0131\u015flayacak kadar \u2018ho\u015fg\u00f6r\u00fc\u2019den<br \/>\ns\u00f6z edilebilir. Ama merkez i\u00e7in asla b\u00f6yle olmam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r nas\u0131l ki sultan kendini<br \/>\nzilullah g\u00f6r\u00fcyorsa merkezi de kendi g\u00f6lgesi g\u00f6r\u00fcyor ve farkl\u0131l\u0131klara \u2018ho\u015fg\u00f6r\u00fc\u2019<br \/>\nde s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131d\u0131r, neredeyse devletl\u00fclerin halet-i ruhiyesine g\u00f6re de\u011fi\u015fkenlik<br \/>\ng\u00f6sterebilmi\u015ftir. Rumlara yakla\u015f\u0131m, merkeze yakla\u015f\u0131mdaki karakteri ta\u015f\u0131r. <\/p>\n<p class=\" \">\u00c7ok\u00e7a \u2018\u015fanl\u0131 tarihin\u2019 \u2018ho\u015fg\u00f6r\u00fcs\u00fc\u2019 olarak \u00f6rnek g\u00f6sterilen<br \/>\nkiliselere,<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Patrikhaneye dokunulmamas\u0131<br \/>\nvb. buz gibi politik hesaplar\u0131n sonucudur. Bat\u0131\u2019da Katolik birlik tehdidine<br \/>\nkar\u015f\u0131 Ortodoks\u2019lar \u00fczerinden bir denge sa\u011flanm\u0131\u015f, H\u0131ristiyan inan\u0131\u015f\u0131n i\u00e7indeki<br \/>\nmezhep \u00e7eli\u015fkisinden faydalanm\u0131\u015f (bu \u00e7eli\u015fkinin yo\u011funlu\u011funu ifade etmek i\u00e7in<br \/>\nBizans imparatorundan sonraki en g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc ki\u015filerden olan deniz kuvvetleri<br \/>\nkomutan\u0131 Lukas Notaras\u2019\u0131n  \u2018\u2019kentte Latin (Katolik) papazlar\u0131n ayin<br \/>\nba\u015fl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rece\u011fime T\u00fcrk sar\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6rmeyi ye\u011flerim\u2019\u2019 dedi\u011fini Bizansl\u0131<br \/>\ntarih\u00e7iler rivayet ediyor) ve bu \u00e7eli\u015fki \u00fczerinden kendini me\u015frulu\u011funu ciddi<br \/>\nd\u00fczeyde sa\u011flamay\u0131 bilmi\u015ftir. Patriklerin idam edilmesi (II. Partenios, III.<br \/>\nPartenios ve d\u00f6rt metropoliti vs) yada as\u0131l\u0131p patrikhane kap\u0131s\u0131nda \u00fc\u00e7 g\u00fcn as\u0131l\u0131<br \/>\nkalmas\u0131 (patrik V. Gregorios) y\u00fcklenen bu misyonlar\u0131 yerine getirmedi\u011finde<br \/>\nneler olabilece\u011fini, \u2018ho\u015fg\u00f6r\u00fc\u2019n\u00fcn asl\u0131nda nas\u0131l pragmatik ve keyfi oldu\u011funu<br \/>\ng\u00f6steriyor. Ayr\u0131ca Rumlar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011funlukla mal dola\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan orta s\u0131n\u0131ftan<br \/>\nolmas\u0131 onlar\u0131 hep bir tehdit olarak kabul etmelerine sebep olmu\u015ftur. Bu tehdidi<br \/>\nbertaraf etmek, bir s\u0131n\u0131f olarak da kontrollerini sa\u011flamak amac\u0131yla zaman zaman<br \/>\ng\u00f6zda\u011f\u0131 verilmesi, ikinci s\u0131n\u0131f vatanda\u015f olduklar\u0131n\u0131n hat\u0131rlat\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131n gere\u011fi<br \/>\nturkoikratik (T\u00fcrk y\u00f6netimi) denen d\u00f6nemde s\u0131k s\u0131k hissedilmi\u015f ve gere\u011fi yerine<br \/>\ngetirilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Osmanl\u0131\u2019n\u0131n son d\u00f6neminde yayg\u0131nl\u0131k kazanan<br \/>\nmilliyet\u00e7i-ulusalc\u0131 e\u011filimler ve Yunanistan\u2019\u0131n ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 (1821) Rumlar<br \/>\n\u00fczerinde olumsuz etkide bulundu. Bir yandan Rumlar\u0131n i\u00e7inde de biraz yer edinen<br \/>\nmegali idea (b\u00fcy\u00fck fikir anlam\u0131nda, b\u00fcy\u00fck Helen imparatorlu\u011fu kurma ideas\u0131) ve<br \/>\nT\u00fcrk milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fi fikirlerinin \u00e7at\u0131\u015fmas\u0131, di\u011fer yandan Osmanl\u0131\u2019n\u0131n \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fc\u015f\u00fc<br \/>\nRumlar\u0131 kimi k\u0131sa d\u00f6nemlerin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda iyice zora soktu. Yabanc\u0131 sermayeye a\u00e7\u0131lan<br \/>\nOsmanl\u0131 piyasas\u0131 kimi Rum sermayedarlara zenginlik ve devlet nezdinde sayg\u0131nl\u0131k<br \/>\nsa\u011flam\u0131\u015fsa da bunun Rumlara bir katk\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n oldu\u011funu s\u00f6ylemek zor, ama Bat\u0131\u2019daki<br \/>\nmodernite ile ili\u015fki geli\u015ftirmek k\u00fclt\u00fcrel anlamda Bat\u0131y\u0131 yakalama \u2018muas\u0131r<br \/>\nmedeniyet\u2019 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc Rumlar a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan sa\u011flad\u0131. Ciddi bir say\u0131da okul, vak\u0131f vb.<br \/>\nkuruldu, Rumlar a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan belli bir ulusal bilince yol a\u00e7t\u0131.<\/p>\n<p class=\" \">Cumhuriyet d\u00f6neminde, birka\u00e7 \u00f6nemli travmatik olay\u0131n daha<br \/>\neklenmesinin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda olumlu y\u00f6nde bir geli\u015fim yok, hatta anayurtlar\u0131ndan<br \/>\ns\u00fcr\u00fclmek ve laik cumhuriyetin \u2018gayr-\u0131 m\u00fcslim az\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019 olmaya devam etmek gibi<br \/>\ngarip bir durumu ya\u015fad\u0131lar. Uluslar aras\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7ler hep Rumlar meselesinde var<br \/>\noldular  ama 1. D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131ndan sonra art\u0131k iyice Rumlar\u0131n s\u00f6z sahibi olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131<br \/>\nbir Rumlar\u0131n mukadderat\u0131 var oldu ve hayata ge\u00e7ti. Lozan antla\u015fmas\u0131 ile tarihin<br \/>\nen ilgin\u00e7 esir takas\u0131 ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti, m\u00fcbadele ad\u0131yla. M\u00fcbadele ad\u0131yla Lozan\u2019\u0131n<br \/>\nyapt\u0131\u011f\u0131, asl\u0131nda, her iki devleti (Yunanistan ve T\u00fcrkiye\u2019yi) de kat\u0131 bir ulus<br \/>\ndevlet \u00e7izgisine  tek ulusa dayal\u0131, tek etnik k\u00f6keni esas alan, asimilasyonu<br \/>\nneredeyse \u015fart k\u0131lan bir devlet yap\u0131s\u0131na y\u00f6nlendirmekti. \u0130lk icraatlar\u0131 da<br \/>\nRumlar\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131k 2700 y\u0131ld\u0131r ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131, onlarca ku\u015fak s\u00fcrd\u00fckleri<br \/>\nyurtlar\u0131ndan, bir g\u00fcn ans\u0131z\u0131n terk ettirmek oldu. Balkanlardan ve<br \/>\nYunanistan\u2019dan s\u00fcr\u00fclenler de ayn\u0131 durumdayd\u0131 ama Rumlar kadar g\u00f6\u00e7ertildikleri<br \/>\nyerlerle bir olmu\u015f de\u011fillerdi. Mesela Konstantinopolis, \u00e7o\u011fu zaman n\u00fcfusun<br \/>\nd\u00f6rtte biri Rumlardan olu\u015fuyordu ve o kentin dokusu bir Rum dokusudur. Elbette<br \/>\nba\u015fka kimse oraya gitmeyecek demek de\u011fil bu ama ba\u015fka halklar\u0131n olmas\u0131 bir<br \/>\nzenginlik, Rumlar\u0131n oradaki varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir zorunluluktu. Osmanl\u0131 ve Cumhuriyet<br \/>\nkar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lacaksa bu konuda kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131labilir. Osmanl\u0131, bu zorunlulu\u011fu<br \/>\nkabul ediyordu ve her \u015feye ra\u011fmen bu zorunlulu\u011fun s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131n\u0131 ihlal etmiyordu<br \/>\nama Cumhuriyet bunu ret etti, bu zorunlulu\u011fun s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131n\u0131 kendi varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n<br \/>\ns\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 olarak g\u00f6rd\u00fc ve ihlal etmek i\u00e7in her yolu m\u00fcbah sayd\u0131.<\/p>\n<p class=\" \">\u0130stanbul, m\u00fcbadelenin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda tutulmu\u015ftu ve 1924\u2019e kadar bir<br \/>\nmilyondan az olan \u0130stanbul n\u00fcfusunun 250 binden fazlas\u0131 Rum\u2019du. Buna ra\u011fmen<br \/>\nAnadolu\u2019dan 1.5 milyona yak\u0131n Rum s\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Yani cemaati olmayan bir<br \/>\npatrikhane, ulus devletler taraf\u0131ndan s\u0131n\u0131rlar \u00e7ekilmi\u015f bir kente s\u0131k\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f<br \/>\nbir Rum n\u00fcfusu. Cumhuriyet bunu da \u00e7\u00f6zmek istiyordu.
